How to Create an Unavailability Directly from the Schedule View?
Managing unavailability just got even easier!
Previously, only employees could enter their unavailability via the mobile app.
Now, an administrator, a schedule manager, or an HR manager can create an unavailability directly from the schedule view, for any team member.
Where to Create an Unavailability?
You can add an unavailability directly from the Schedule View, in the same place where you manage your shifts daily.
Steps:
- Go to Schedules > Manage Schedules.
- Open the Schedule View for the desired week.
- Find the employee for whom you want to enter an unavailability.
- Click on the empty space corresponding to the row and date.
- Select the Unavailability option.

Which Settings Can Be Defined?
When creating it, you can specify:
- Full day
- "Start and End time" of the unavailability
Once validated, the unavailability clearly appears on the schedule and prevents any unexpected assignment during that slot.
Why Use This Feature?
This new functionality brings several benefits:
- Time-saving: no need to wait for an employee to enter their unavailability.
- More control: the schedule manager can proactively adjust unavailability in case of unforeseen events.
- Fewer errors: a forgotten or late-entered unavailability can now be added in seconds.
- Centralized management: all important information appears directly in the schedule view.
✅ Conclusion
Creating an unavailability directly from the schedule view significantly improves scheduling efficiency.
Whether to anticipate an absence or quickly adjust an employee's availability, this feature makes management simpler, faster, and more reliable.
