How to disable a change request and set the notice period?

Managing schedules requires both precision and flexibility. To control change requests submitted by your employees, a setting in your account allows you to decide:

  • whether you want to enable or disable change requests,
  • and define a minimum notice period (in days) for submitting a request.

Where to find this option in the settings?

To configure these settings, simply follow this path:

Settings > Schedules > Settings > Activate change requests.

How to disable shift change requests?

  1. Go to the Activate change requests section.
  2. Click the toggle button on the right to disable this option.

➡️ Once disabled, your employees will no longer be able to submit shift change requests through the app.

Setting the notice period in days for requests

You can also define a minimum notice period for employees to submit a request:

  • By default, this period is set to 2 days.
  • In practice, this means the employee must make the request at least 48h in advance.
  • You can adjust this setting based on your organization’s needs (e.g., 1 day, 3 days, 5 days…).

Why use this option?

  • More control: you decide whether shift change requests are allowed or not.
  • Optimized planning: the minimum notice period helps with better anticipation in schedule management.
  • Fewer last-minute changes: prevents last-minute scheduling changes that are difficult to manage.
