How to allow the camera for the POS web application?

When you connect to your POS application on the web, it is possible that the following message appears, which prevents you from using the system:


Here are the steps to follow to resolve this problem:

The very first step is to know if you have a camera on your computer.

⚠️ For all clients with an iPad, the application is now available in the app store. No need to use your iPad web browser anymore. 🤩

1️⃣ You do not have a camera:

You will need to disable the option to take pictures in your settings.

How?

Go to the settings (⚙️) ➡️ account settings ➡️ Shyfter Apps ➡️ Shyfter POS 3 (time clock tablet) ➡️ Automatically take a photo when clocking in ➡️ ❌

Don't forget to save and also refresh your page.

2️⃣ You have a camera:

You will need to allow the application to use the camera.

The Google Chrome browser:

You have to click on the camera logo at the top right in the URL and select the authorization.

If there is no logo, you will need to go to the Google Chrome settings by clicking on the 3 small dots:

Go to the "Privacy and security" menu in the camera part or type in the search bar: "chrome://settings/content/camera".

The Safari browser:

By default, the browser will ask for authorization. Click on "Allow".

⚠️ If you come across the old version of the application (V2), you will need to clear your browser history. Don't forget to refresh the page!
