How to add a ranking to a user?

🔧 How to activate the feature?


  • Go to the HR → Settings menu.
  • Enable the option "Enable employee rating".
  • Once activated, you can assign a 1 to 5 star rating to each employee.



🎯 What is it for?


The rating allows you to give a simple evaluation to employees to facilitate planning and management.


  • A 1 to 5 star rating can be assigned.
  • If no rating is given, the stars remain empty.
  • These ratings are not public (privacy respected ✅).
  • Only account administrators, HR managers, or shift planners can view and modify these ratings.

👉 The goal is not to judge, but to provide an internal indicator to better distinguish profiles when planning shifts.

👉 Instead of labeling someone as "good" or "less skilled," it helps identify more experienced employees or those who need additional support


📍 Where is it available in Shyfter?


Once activated, the rating is visible in multiple places:


  • In the employee list (including exports).
  • On the profile of each employee.
  • In the planning section: when selecting employees for shifts, you can see their rating and even filter (e.g., select only 5-star employees ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐).
  • In the Shyft-Market: stars also appear to help choose the right employee quickly.


👉 This feature is therefore a simple and visual tool to help your managers and planners save time and optimize their choices when organizing shifts.
