How to choose which application your worker can clock in on?


For efficient management of work schedules and employee clock-ins, Shyfter allows you to choose which application your workers can use to clock in: tablet (Shyfter POS) or mobile (Shyfter App). Here’s how to configure your employees’ clock-in options.


Access account settings

Log in to your Shyfter account. Click on the settings icon (⚙️) at the top right of your screen to access the account settings.



Configure clock-in options

In the settings menu, select "Clock-in". You’ll see several options, including "Shyfter POS" and "Shyfter Staff". These options allow you to define whether your employees can clock in via a tablet or a mobile device in general.



Assign clock-in methods to users

  1. Go to the "Team" menu > "Users".
  2. Select the employee for whom you want to configure clock-in options.
  3. In the user profile, go to "Profile" > "Settings" > "Additional information".
  4. Choose the appropriate clock-in option: "Can clock in on POS (Tablet)" or "Can clock in on mobile app". You can keep both options enabled if the worker is allowed to clock in on both applications.



Activate employees for clock-in

  1. Go to "Team" > "Users".
  2. Select the employees you want to activate for clock-in.
  3. Click on the paper plane icon to send them to the selected clock-in application.


By following these steps, you can easily configure and manage your employees’ clock-in options on Shyfter. This allows you to ensure maximum flexibility and accuracy in managing work schedules.
