What is the orange alert in the Team menu?
What does the orange attention mean in the Team menu
Proper management of your employees’ administrative information is essential to avoid errors in social declarations. Among these data, the NISS (National Social Security Number) plays a central role.
In your HR space, you may sometimes see an orange attention icon in the Team menu. What does this signal mean and how can you fix it?
What is the NISS?
The NISS is a unique identifier assigned to each person in Belgium. It is essential for:
- Dimona declarations,
- managing employment contracts,
An incorrect or missing NISS can therefore block or delay your administrative processes.
Orange attention in the Team menu
When you open the Team menu, you may see an orange attention icon next to an employee.
➡️ This means the system was unable to automatically verify the person’s NISS.
Several possible causes:
- the entered NISS is incorrect,
- the employee does not yet have a NISS assigned,
How to fix the NISS verification?
- Correct the entry if an error is detected.
- If the employee does not yet have a NISS (example: newly arrived foreign worker), you will need to obtain it through official administrative procedures.
Once the data is corrected, the system will automatically re-check the NISS, and the orange icon will disappear.
Why is this verification important?
A correct NISS verification helps to:
- avoid rejections during Dimona declarations,
- streamline communication with your social secretariat,
